Below is some really good news--but I still think we need to keep pushing.
The local SPCA is having trouble finding a legal way to stop this. As we all know, publicity is a great weapon when wielded well!!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have spent the night & morning surfing the internet & finally hit paydirt just now. I found the humane society right in Marshall, TX where this woman lives. I got right on the phone with them & here's the latest as I understand it.....
This woman actually lives on the same road as the Humane Society & they are well aware of her. She is currently being investigated by the DA's officebut they have yet to figure out any charges to press against her. Apparently what she is doing is *not* illegal in the state of Texas.
Another concerned Marshall citizen happens to be an NBC reporter. This reporter made a surprise visit to her cattery with cameras rolling so she's now been on TV(probably just locally). The good news is that the cats are very well cared for. The President of the Marshall Humane Society is going to return my call(she was out of the office today) & her husband just happens to be an assistant DA. The three women I spoke with were ecstatic that I (and others)wanted to do what we can to put a stop to this. They were also flabbergasted that not only was I calling from NJ but that *I* learned about it from someone across the ocean (thank you Therese!).
So I wanted all concerned to know that something good may come out of this after all - maybe we really can make a difference.

I NEED ADVICE!!!!! What other avenues (besides SPCA) can you use to file abuse charges? My local SPCA said it would be too "hard to prove"e;
Here's the story: 9/3/98- interviewed prospective buyer for a dane pup. She seemed knowledgable, current on dane info, ran a rescue for pits/shepards (had her info packet with her). I sold her the pup.
9/8/98-check up call on pup finds her phone disconnected. Begin trying to locate her whereabouts.
9/21/98- her check is returned, acct closed 7/98. After exhaustive search, she is located 25 miles from here. 9/25/98- Go to retrieve puppy. Town clerk tells me her shelter is NOT liscensed, she is NOT wanted in town, and they are trying to shut her down. Retrieve the puppy, she assaults me and opens a 33" abdominal incision from 9/11 surgery. Report incident to state police.
9/28- Article in local paper has her stating that she has a rescued litter of pups with parvo on premisis. Interview for article was done on 9/21.
9/29- puppy dies and autopsy shows hemmoraging in the intesinal tract... suspect viral infection.
10/3- another puppy dies at my home while waiting to go to new family. Autopsy shows same results. Subsequent pathology report on tissue from dead puppies confirms parvo. The pups had their 1st vaccine 9/1. She never gave the pup its follow-up vaccines leaving it suseptible to parvo. (it takes 3 shots, 2 wks apart, to get acceptable immunity) To me this is a clear cut case of cruelty... she knowingly exposed an improperly vaccinated puppy to a fatal, highly contagious disease.
THIS WOMAN NEEDS TO BE STOPPED! I am in Mass. The MSPCA is not going to help. Where can I turn? PLEASE HELP ME SHUT HER DOWN!!!!!

SANDRA ROBERTS operating as German Shepard Protection League in Ashfield, Mass. is using her "rescue" to get in-tact, registered GSD and APBT dogs for breeding. Her kennel is infected with PARVO VIRUS and she is currently under investigation by MSPCA for abuse. She is also in court at this time for FRAUD, LARCENY OVER $25O (Holyoke, MA district court), ASSAULT AND BATTERY (by the Shelburn State Police), SLANDER (Northampton Mass Superior court)and has done time in Hampshire County Jail for trying to steal GSD from a breeder. It is alleged that she smothers unwanted dogs with pillows, although it can not be proven DESPITE her admission to this. If you have any info regarding this woman please pass it along to:
SGT. LeBlond (MSPCA, Spfld, MA), TRPR. Bakey (MA State Police, Shelburn barracks) or Priscilla (Town Clerk, Ashfield, MA).
There is a hearing scheduled for Thurs 11/19 7pm in Ashfield where she is applying for a liscence to do "rescue" work. She has been chased out of many Mass hilltowns already. SHE MUST BE STOPPED!!! SHE IS DANGEROUS TO ALL DOGS. OUR FOUR LEGGED FRIENDS NEED YOUR VOICE TO HELP THEM STOP THIS WOMAN. PLEASE....
