Arrived at the rainbow bridge
on February 9, 1998

On February 4, 1998, "Cindy", a 6-month old black and white kitten
was found burned and lying in a downtown street in Syracuse, New York
by a passerby riding a bicycle.  Cindy had been placed in a box,
the box sealed and drenched in gasoline, then thrown into the air by
a 15-year old teen.  Six days later, Cindy succumbed to the
toxicity of her burns and smoke inhalation and died.

Her story touched many lives and hearts in Central New York.  Because of
the overwhelming outpouring of grief from it's citizens, Cindy was given
a funeral and a final resting place at the
Pet Haven Cemetary in Syracuse, NY.

She remains today,
"The Beloved Kitten of The People Of Central New York".
