Added notes on Samuel and Lucretia HOLMES of Montville, New London, Connecticut

Actually Samuel HOLMES did not live in Montville -- that town was not created until after Samuel's death; during his lifetime it was the North Parish of New London.

[Stover] writes "A Nathan Holmes m. Grace Chapman, born in the 1770s", with no source shown. From email correspondence with Stover, her source was [Baker] and the above name is incorrect: it should be Grace CHAPEL.

Samuel and Lucretia's daughter, Lucretia HOLMES

...Curiosity has me wondering if you are looking for Samuel HOLMES who married Lucretia BILL and had a daughter, Lucretia HOLMES who married William THOMPSON [b. July 2, 1742 in Montville, New London County, Connecticut, d. 1834 unknown location]. That's about all I know about them, other than the names of three of Lucretia HOLMES and William THOMPSON's children, their dates and spouses, and some of the ancestry of William THOMPSON.
