October 7 11 AM Isidor's Cheek Ines Bass of Sand Glass Theater

Recipient of the 1999 UNIMA-USA Puppeteer's of America Citation for Excellence in the Art of Puppetry, Mrs. Bass has toured Germany, Finland, Japan, France and Spain, and performed at the Lincoln Center Institute and the Henson Festival 98.

 

November 4 11 AM Tom Knight Puppets with a musical return performance

Tom Knight, formerly with Peanut Butter and Jelly Puppeteers, has been writing and performing for children for ten years. As a solo performer he excels at presenting diverse and sometimes complicated material simply and accessibly.

 

December 2 11 AM Grandfather Frost's Stories of Russia Open Hand Theater

Open Hand Theater's adaptation of several Russian folk tales, presented by the well known and loved characters; Grandfather Frost and Baba Yaga. This delightful puppet performance features Vladimir Vasyagin, artist in residence from Russia, with musician Leslie Archer

January 6 11 AM The Snow Maiden Rolande Dupres of Purple Rock Puppets

Rolande performs, designs and directs puppet Theatre and is the founder of Purple Rock Productions. This fall she will appear at the Henson International Puppetry Festival and tour Pakistan and India with the Czech-American Marionette Theatre.

March 3 11 AM Puss n' Boots Perry Alley Puppet Theater

Bonnie and Andrew Periale recipients of the 1999 UNIMA-USA Puppeteer's of America Citation for Excellence in the Art of Puppetry, have had diverse training in theatre, puppetry, dance, music and design. Best known for its zany originality and technical skills, Perry Alley Theatre has been featured at the Smithsonian Institution, at Atlanta's Center for Puppetry Arts, and at festivals in Italy and France.
