Colorado Railcar DMU visits Cortland, New York
On Sunday, October 13, 2002 the prototype DMU built by Colorado Railcar paid a brief visit to Cortland. The railcar was demonstrated for possible service on the planned passenger rail connection between Binghamton and Syracuse. The DMU traveled to Cortland from Binghamton over the Syracuse branch of New York, Susquehanna and Western's Northern Division. At Cortland, Susquehanna GP18 #1802 was coupled to the single railcar (which is not bidirectional) for the trip back to Binghamton.
