Flora of the Northeastern United States

This website showcases the indigenous flora of the Northeastern United States. It includes over 400 species that I have photographed in the Midwest and Northeast. The plants cover a broad range of habitats including savanna, prairie, pine barrens, dunes, eastern deciduous forest and a variety of wetland habitats (bog, fen, marsh, swamp etc.).

Plants are arranged alphabetically by genus. Common names are included along with the family to which each plant belongs. At some point I may include separate indices for browsing by common name or other categories like common habitat.

The site is mostly complete but some parts are still under construction. Currently there are about 420 plant pages completed. Note that on many of the pages the "home" button does not work. This is because I had to put about half of the material on another server and this button no longer points to this page.
