Recent projects & presentations:

I have worked as an educator and researcher in library and information science for my entire professional career. My research interest has focused primarily in following areas:

  • Knowledge organization structures, including semantic indexing and ontologies
  • Schema representation of digital information, including learning object metadata, learning object vocabulary, and XML/RDF modeling
  • Organization of information, including bibliographic data modeling, web content management
  • Scholarly communication in science, including collaboration, interdisciplinary research, and bibliometric analysis.
