Getting the stuff
- ian.exe is a self extracting archive. Download it HERE
- When done downloading run ian.exe.
- enter location to extract the ian files to [the default is c:\ian].
- click unzip to begin extraction.
- when complete click close to get rid of self extactor.
Installing the stuff
The ian-agent-interface make use of Microsofts agents to convert text to speech.
In order to run ian-agent-interface we have to install the microsoft agents.
- open the folder you extracted ian.exe to [the default is c:\ian]
You should find a folder called MSAgent.
- open MSAgent.
- run MSAgent.exe to install Microsoft Agent support. [the installers default settings should be fine]
- run Merlin.exe to install the Merlin agent. [other agents are available at Microsoft]
Running the interface
- Open ian-agent-interface.ntl
You will be asked for the location of JMSAgentObj.dll,
Its in the same folder as ian-agent-interface so just click ok.
This will happen everytime you open the interface
[TIP - If you copy JMSAgentObj.dll to the neattools folder you wont have to locate JMSAgentObj.dll]
[TIP - To find the neattools folder
- click start/find/find files or folders
- Start a search fo for oopw.exe
- When the search is complete it will tell you where the neattools folder is located
