DARLE WRIGHT DORAN
Almost Love with Selected Long & Short Poems

Welcome to my collection of poems.

Here you will find poetry written on a variety of subjects, including love, nature, family, growing up, and even food.
Some are light. Some are serious. Some are both.  I do write some social issue poems, but I consider that genre to be extremely difficult to do well.  Polemics seldom make good poetry, at least to my way of thinking.
These poems were written over a period of time spanning about 12 years, and they include some of my published work, as well as a feature article about me that accompanied the publication of Pan Am 103 which won the Syracuse NewTimes Haiku award in 1997.  I sincerely hope you enjoy your time here.
