This site is "optimized for speed" and is non-
commercial.  It’s updated frequently, so there are few dead links.  This is really one of the best general sites with links for teachers and students.
E. L. EASTON:  MATERIALS FOR TEACHING ENGLISH  A lot of interesting links to ESL and other relevant sites such as "flags of the world
Dave Sperling’s ESL Café This is one of the most popular general sites for ESL students and teachers.  It seems to contain more commercial links than it used to, but it’s still a good site for teachers and older students.  It offers bulletin board and chat as well as web links.

ESL/LINC LEARNER SITES  A useful site which links to many ESL reading, writing, and listening sites; it rates site quality ratings and lists grade levels.
ESL MULTIMEDIAL LANGUAGE LEARNING A site of links to reading, writing, and listening sites; also includes an academic section and cultural information section.
INTERESTING THINGS FOR ESL STUDENTS by Charles and Lawrence Kelly
INTERCULTURAL E-MAIL CLASSROOM CONNECTIONS A site to find 
keypals and partner classes.
PIZAZZ A great site for creative writing with handouts for all ages and levels.
RANDALL’S ESL CYBER LISTENING LAB Great listening activities, but they 
require REAL AUDIO or SHOCKWAVE (free downloadable software from the Internet).
GRAMMAR
Some teachers are against teaching grammar out of context, but if you want some individual practice for students out of the class the following sites are recommended:
ENGLISH LANGUAGE CENTER STUDY ZONE
A great site from the University of Victoria in Canada, but very suitable for middle and high school.
EYE ON GRAMMAR
Very easy to advanced lessons; the site is small but is supposed to grow.
GRAMMAR QUIZZES 
Many types and many topics; all levels, but best for middle or high school students.
