SUBSCRIPTION COMMANDS
First, you need to understand that there's two addresses for each list.
The subscription address, also called
the administrative address, is the address of the computer that handles
the subscriptions. Use it to subscribe, unsubscribe, get a digest or set a vacation
stop. It looks something like:
listserv@domain.edu
or listproc@domain.com
or majordomo@domain.net
The second address is the posting
address--where you send your messages so everybody can read them. That address
looks something like:
name--l@domain.edu
for example : foi-l@listserv.syr.edu
