Research Interests:

 

·        Statistical decision rules including ranking and selection, multiple comparison and multiple hypothesis testing; Design and analysis of experiments, including sample size determination

 

·        Minimax and Bayesian analysis; Probability inequalities

 

·        Multivariate analysis (Estimation, Testing, Selecting, MANOVA, PCA and Classification)

 

·        Monte Carol Simulation, Fitting statistical distributions and Resampling methods

 

·        Sequential Decision Rules (include group sequential analysis)

 

·        Constrained Statistical Inference

 

Research Applications:  

 

    • Multiple target detection in signal processing; Biometrics;

 

    • Bioequivalence, non inferiority and superiority, treatment selection and comparison;

 

    • Bioinformatics, such as classifying tissue samples in microarray gene expression data analysis;

 

    • Quality control.
