The following is taken from the orginal regimental
books for the regiment of Bearn. Every so often they
created a new list of soldiers in the regiment, carrying
over existing soldiers into the new book, and adding new
enlistees as they came on board. These books are a very
large part of my reference material in relation to the
individual soldiers.
Entries for each soldier may contain the following information:
Surname/Dit name, given name
Parents (I denote with s/o)
Rank
Where from (I denote this with o)
Age
Height (in French measurement)
Physical Description
Date of Enlistment (I denote with Enl)
Date of Re-enlistment. (I denote with Re-enl) Note that most
enlistments were for a 6 year period.
Occupation
My job, in part, is to go through these lists and find who actually came to New France to fight in the war.
While I list all of the soldiers in the Company of Monredon here, not all of these soldiers were still active
when they came across. Some of the information, however, may be interesting.
The order appears as it does in the original regimental book:

Also, the company would have received recruits throughout the span of the war.
