Course Objectives:
  • To read and discuss many of the significant works in Western philosophy from Kant to the present.
  • To better understand the problem of modern philosophy.
  • To explore various philosophical responses to the problem of modern philosophy.
  • To encourage reflection on such contemporary philosophical matters as the meaning of human existence, the nature of truth, and the difficulties inherent to the quest for knowledge.
  • To become better critical thinkers.
