Microwave Inc, Syracuse, NY:  RF Design Engineer      Since January 2005

  • Designing and troubleshooting of a complex wireless base station signal distribution assembly for Motorola.
  • Supporting the production and custom project transfers to China.
  • Designing power combiners/dividers.
  • Designing a novel variable manual attenuator.
  • Designing a high power Pin diode switch for a WIMAX base station.
  • Designing and simulating surface mount microwave couplers.

 
Elcom Technologies, Rockleigh, NJ: RF Design Engineer                      May 2002 – May 2003
• Designed, simulated and tested microwave filters using various techniques, DC to 35 GHz. Introduced usage of miniaturized hairpin and pseudo-interdigital filters.
• Developed a filter library DC-25 GHz with about 130 designed filters.
• Helped testing and troubleshooting frequency synthesizers.
 
Herley Industries, Inc. Woburn, MA:  RF Design Engineer, Intern           May 2000 –April 2002
• Designed, simulated and tested microwave filters using various techniques, DC to 20 GHz.
• Designed, simulated and tested PIN switches and attenuators DC to 20 GHz.
• Worked on testing and troubleshooting an amplifier module.
• Had been an advisor for microwave and electromagnetic simulation tools.
 
Syracuse University, Syrcuse, NY:  Research Assistant,              February 1998- May 2000
• Published and presented scientific papers on antenna radiation and scattering problems, numerical methods, and microwave circuits. Detailed list of the papers can be found further below.
