Welcome to Brendan Murday's homepage.

I am a graduate student in philosophy at Syracuse University, and am currently employed as an Assistant Professor at Ithaca College. I will defend my dissertation in early 2007 (January or February). Now that I am on the job market I am posting some documents that might be of interest to hiring committees .

My philosophical interests are primarily in metaphysics and the philosophy of language, though I like to dabble in a lot of different areas. The bulk of my research is directed towards modality and semantic content, particularly two-dimensional modal semantics; in time I plan to branch out into studying the relationship between various forms of modality, concepts, modal epistemology, and propositional attitudes.
